Lago General Carrera is a remote glacial lake in the Patagonian Andes on the border between Chile and Argentina. More than 6000 years of wave action created the cavern labyrinths along the shore that seem lit from below, reflecting the turquoise and azure tints of the swirling waters. In addition to the caverns, this composition depicts one of the many waterfalls common to Patagonia, as well as the more than 100 species of birds inhabiting the region.
