In his landmark book, Art of the Natural World*, sculptor Richard Rosenblum extrapolated the Chinese devotion to “scholar’s rocks” to other materials and forms in wild nature.
This formal composition reflects Rosenblum’s perspective in its visualization of life within shapes released from a single large piece of driftwood.
