In much the same way as “scholar’s rocks” are appreciated for their natural beauty, the fewest possible changes were made to the raw shape, textures, and colors of this unique feather rock boulder.

In this imaginary scene, a boatman takes a final look at home and friends on the shore as he sails for open water. A waterfall tumbles down the rock face to join the mist rising from the base of the ancient driftwood stump.
