Totems
Totems played an important role in the early religious history of Asia, Australia, and Europe, as well as North America. A totem represents a natural or mythical animal to which a person feels a spiritual connection and responsibility to the natural world.
The grain patterns of a piece of Mopani wood inspired this natural cougar (mountain lion) totem. In North America, the cougar is considered king of the mountain. As a personal totem, the mountain lion represents confidence, strength, grace, and intuition.
