Wallscapes
Since the 16th century, Shinto and Zen Buddhist teachings have inspired the design of small courtyard gardens (tsuboniwa) in Japanese homes. To this day, these masterpieces of landscape design connect residents and guests with wild nature and provide a focus for aesthetic contemplation. This composition extends the miniature garden concept, combining traditional materials of stone, plants, and water with modern materials. The 6 main stones and the rock wall backdrop are feather rock fragments, illustrating the diversity of character within this variety of stone. The pond, background, and frame are reclaimed Corian.
